A Test of the Hydralift and the Harley Road King

Are you sure it can hold that bike? This was the first question I asked when I was told we were going to test out the new Hydralift for our Harley Road King put on by Mufflers West. Thinking the bike weighed 1,000 lbs, how could it lift it and be secure? How can it stay on the lift and not fall off? Well, first I found out the Harley Road King is only 760lbs however that is still a lot of weight. Our recent trip to Phoenix, Kingman and back home to Murrieta, CA proved it to be a great motorcycle lift for our RV.

The lift you are looking at is a Hydralift hydraulic power lift. It is rated to lift 1000lbs which was a surprise to me. The great thing about this lift is we do not have to take an entire trailer to bring our motorcycle with us.

Once you have secured the bike on the rack with tie downs use the remote control to raise your bike as far as possible and it will fall in to the auto locking arms (nice safety feature).

In addition to having your motorcycle you can also tow up to 8,000lbs. Next question was can we tow the jet skis as well as the motorcycle? Yes of course! I guess I need to be better at estimating how much something weighs.

Below you will see a couple of side views.

When you are done using the lift you can store it in this folded up position. I can say the trip was a success and the lift was well worth it. Now I am thinking of all kinds of places to take off to.
